What Shado is

For watches and handbags that will change hands over the years. A module is set into the clasp or lining at manufacture, linking the piece to its own Shado record from first sale through to every later owner.
Receipts and certificate cards can go missing. The Shado record doesn’t depend on them. It keeps a verified history of the piece that can be checked at any time.
One tap with your phone confirms the piece is authentic. In the Shado app, owners transfer it securely to the next owner, or flag it if it is ever lost or stolen.

The Method
From One Owner
To The Next.
At Purchase
Buy from a partner brand or boutique and the piece already carries its Tughra, its digital certificate of authenticity. You register it to your name in the Shado app.
Before Any Sale
A buyer taps the piece, or enters its Shado ID in Vault Lookup, to see its status, past transfers and any tamper record. Your name and details are never shown.
When It Changes Hands
You start the transfer in your app and the new owner confirms it in theirs. The record only moves when both sides agree, and the handover joins its history.
If It Goes Missing
Turn on Protection Mode. The piece is flagged as stolen and can’t be transferred, so anyone who checks it before buying will see the report.

Many pieces outlast their first owner. The record, and every Inscription in it, passes to whoever owns the piece next.

Common Questions
Before You Ask.
Can I add Shado to a piece I already own?
Not currently. Shado begins before first sale, the cleanest point to create a trusted record. We are working with brands on ways to authenticate pre-owned pieces. If there’s a piece you’d like protected, raising it with the brand is the best step for now.
How do I get a Shado-protected piece?
Shado is built in by the brands and makers we work with: buy from a partner brand or boutique and the certificate is already in place. We are pre-launch, so protected pieces aren’t on sale yet. Use “Notify me at launch” below to hear when the first ones are.
Is Shado a tracker?
No. Shado is a certificate and ownership record built into the piece, not a tag or tracker. Location is not tracked during normal ownership; on Sentinel editions it starts only after the owner reports the piece missing or stolen.
Can a fake show a Shado Tughra?
A counterfeit can copy branding, paperwork or a listing. The module is fitted by the brand at manufacture, designed to resist cloning, and every tap is cryptographically verified. If it is removed, the break is recorded and shows at every tap, so a buyer can see the piece has been opened or altered and isn’t misled on its value.
What happens if Shado is no longer operating?
Your records should not depend entirely on Shado staying in business. The platform is being built with continuity in mind, including exportable records where supported. The piece itself, its brand warranty and your purchase papers are unaffected either way.
